I served dinner in the dining room to take advantage of the breeze from the fan. The air conditioner is still on the fritz and the kitchen is stifling. Even the cats are quiet this evening.

I tried something a little different tonight, involving a chicken breast, ham and cheese. Jim noticed the effort and definitely enjoyed it.

We spoke briefly about how I feel a little better today and we hope it lasts.

I’m not able to finish my chicken, so Jake happily accepts the rest of my portion. Pleasant dinner, pleasant company.
