Here’s to Joe!

Raise your glass for a toast,” said Ann said at dinner tonight. OK, I’m always up for a toast, I thought. When asked why, she informed me that today is her (deceased) father’s birthday. I forgot, but immediately remembered that this little toasting routine is a tradition with Ann. So I dutifully raised my glass and toasted good ‘ol Joe who, I might add, I never met but whom without I never would have fell so completely in love.

So here’s to Joe. May he be dancing with the angels.
